Welfare to Work
Designer Life offers Coaching workshops to ‘Employment and Training’ projects in the public sector
With unemployment still on the high and many people economically in-active, our aim is to assist Providers with a specialist intervention service focused on helping people get back to work and/or, the all important, employment sustainability. This is carried out, not just using the traditional methods of ‘advice and guidance’ of cv writing, interview skills and job searching strategies, but to really coach service users to identify and break down barriers they are facing whilst finding work and also when in work. Coaching is a mutually agreed partnership and is goals driven. It’s difficult for a person to successfully find a job and then stay in it for more than 52 weeks if there are barriers in their personal life or state of mind. Coaching is a powerful and liberating technique that acts as a catalyst to people to release their inner potential and achieve goals much more quickly. It allows them to develop their own skills and knowledge and change their behaviour and attitude and raising their own self-awareness.
We are pleased to be Specialist Intervention Partners with A4e on the work programme and deliver the following interventions:
- Stressful to Blissful-a barrier busting motivational workshop, helping unemployed customers identify and understand their stress levels, and also what hinders employment. Customers leave less stressed and much more positive and empowered.
- Verve-a 3 part wellbeing workshop for those customers on ESA benefit helping them to de-stress, become more positive about their health/circumstances and become ‘job ready’.
- Personal Branding-a unique course that helps prepare customers for interviews and employment, by looking at their image, body language, online profiles and overall communication.
We also offer:
- 1:1 career coaching combined with advice and guidance.
- Group motivational workshops on getting back to work.
- 12 month Employment Sustainability Coaching/Personal Development programme.
- Group personal development workshops for those recently started work. From; stress management to health and wellbeing and from budgeting to work, life, balance.

Inbiz is a market leader in supporting start up Businesses and Enterprise. I was working with Inbiz before the merger and growth with TNG and Avanta. As a Business advisor I was coaching and advising clients from conception of an idea to marketing the business and generating clients and an income. Working closely with Jobcentre Plus referrals we helped the unemployed who had a desire to go into Business rather than employment. This involved working on a 1:1 basis and assisting them with all aspects of starting up a small business.
