It’s that time of year…Appraisals.
You haven’t got the time to meet with your staff weekly to ensure they are on their way to reaching their objectives, but you know how important it is for the success of the company and for the individuals that they do.

One solution is to bring in the services of a Coach, who can release the potential of staff and motivate them to reach their appraisal objectives in a way that empowers and keeps them challenged. Coaching is a powerful and dynamic tool which many companies are beginning to tap into. Why not look at your Company staff development plan or method and include one to one coaching as part of staff development. It releases the potential of people and it’s done in a way that enables the member of staff to come up with the answers for themselves and therefore they have the ownership and accountability to achieve their goal(s).

Having been in First Line Management for 10 years in the retail/service industry and public/charity sector I understand the frustrations that staff and line managers have and how this can impact the whole organisation. A qualified Professional Coach with an Advanced Diploma in Coaching, ILM level 3 in First Line Management and Diploma in Stress Management, I am a coach with a wealth of experience including Business Consultancy for start up businesses and 7 years practising as Professional Career Coach, working with professionals and jobseekers. I have personally turned around departments, improved performance and achieved targets over 200% by grooming and developing my previous teams.

The Coaching Solution may be focused around a department, selected individuals in the organisation such as customer service, sales, support staff, front of house staff, or specifically those who would like to have coaching for support

Working with HR and Line Managers I can help bring out the best in the team or department on an individual basis. Each staff member selected to have 121 coaching will have a number of sessions focusing on their appraisal objectives. These can be discussed with the Line Manager initially and once the appraisal has been carried out the coach can commence 121 sessions. It is recommended that all staff are fully aware of the Coaching Support and should know that everything discussed is confidential.

Example process in a nutshell

  1. Meeting with Coach; agree budget, timescales and communication process and measures of success
  2. Appraisal sent to staff to review themselves
  3. Appraisal carried out
  4. Copies of the appraisal sent to Coach for selected individuals/department
  5. Coaching commences with individuals
  6. Coach/Line Manager feedback (not always necessary)
  7. Final report sent to Line Manager/HR and copy to individual and assess success
